It was horrible, the silence of the forest seemed foreboding as if something bad was soon to happen.
The path seemed to open up, I thought,
'Finally…!'
That's when things suddenly turned for the worst.
A loud pop came from the back tire, the bike started to topple over, I screamed when I saw that the path was opening up to a large ravine with an old rickety bridge across it.

Devon
I looked up at the road ahead to see why Tori screamed and understood why. The bike was skidding across the ground at an awkward angle as it hurdled closer to the edge. I reached behind me and grabbed she around the waist.
"HOLD ON!"
I felt her cling to me, I jumped of the bike, just before it shot over the edge and down into a massive river. I somehow managed to land on the bridge, I took off my cracked helmet and saw that Tori was dangling off the edge of the ravine.
"…Devon…"
"Satori!!"
I ran over to her and grabbed her just as she lost her grip.
"Don't worry, I'll pull you up."
I tried and heard a feint cracking sound from the ground.

Satori
I heard a feint cracking sound from the ground where Devon crouched.
"No! You can't, you'll fall too!"
"I don't care! I'm not leaving you, Tori!"
I could feel how he tightened his grip on my wrists, he was trembling.
"Don't be dumb, Devon! Let go!"
He shook his head and through my helmet's lens I could see that tears were in his eyes.
"Letting you die alone is what would be dumb! ….I love you Tori…"
"W…What?"
Tears filled my eyes as well though I'm absolutely sure he couldn't see them, but my shaky voice betrayed me.
"Y…You dummy! Why….why would you tell me that now?!"
"Because… You're not going alone!"
He used all of his strength to pull me into his arms and at that moment the ground beneath our feet gave way. We were sent plummeting into the cold water below. His arms where still holding me as mine where around him. We both new that the current was too strong to even try to reach the surface. Yet for some reason, I thought of Devon and wasn't afraid.

Devon
As we were being shoved and pulled down the river by the current I thought only of Satori.
We were pushed right to the bottom of the river bank and somehow settled there. As we held our breaths we looked at each other one last time then closed our eyes to the darkness around us. And as I released my last breath of air I wished that things could have been different with her in the future.

Satori
I let go of my last breath. I had to, my lungs where aching. Water filled my mouth and as I was slipping away I made a wish. I wished that things could have been different with him in the future.
Out of the darkness I heard a whisper, but I couldn't understand it, the water seemed to get warm and felt like it trembled. I opened my eyes and the last thing I saw were two huge green eyes as the darkness took me.
-----
My eyes fluttered open to see sunlight through my window.
'The sky looks so pretty from here…', I thought.
My eyes widened and I sat up with a little yelp of shock.
"What am I doing here?! That couldn't have been just a dream ..could it?"

Devon
I woke to the sound of Satori's voice.
'Satori? But I thought we were…', I thought.
I opened my eyes to see her standing fully clothed and soaking wet.
"S…Satori?! What are you… Why are we…? Huh?"
I sat up and saw that I was also soaked while fully clothed.
"What's going on?…"
After we calmed down (which took awhile and meant clean clothes) we told each other our dreams. We realized that we both had the same wish and saw the same green eyes. We checked if we were missing anything and found that we were both missing our matching moonstone necklaces that her grandmother gave to us as children. That's when we remembered the story she had told us.
That the Moonstones held magic powers to protect us and give us help when we were in trouble. She told us to make a wish on the Moonstones that came from the stars above. Back then we believed it but as we grew we thought it was just a story and forgot it as if it was a nothing more than a dream.
But now we remember and we do believe.

Whoa. This was actually pretty well done! In fact, I'm impressed by your grace when handling the varied vocabulary.
However, there were two things that I could nitpick on, and those two things are essentially one and the same. The fact that Devon suddenly out of nowhere said that he loved her without any buildup or any indication what so ever felt a little out of place, and the same thing about the moonstone necklaces. We hadn't heard anything about any magic, or even any grandmother, so it felt a little out of place too.
But still, few stories manage to impress me like yours did. I give you my thumbs up!
